Is this a torch ?

The LFS said it is a torch - some of the tentacles look hammering to me .

Either way, I bought it for cheap so now I’m curious

Hard to tell but I see what you mean by some of the tentacles look sort of hammer ish but I think it looks more like a torch. Looks like a nice colour coral either way

Exactly - it has all of the looks of a smaller torch but it has a couple hammer looking tips.

When I look at my branching hammer, it has all hammer tips with only a couple rounded ones.
So much grey area when figuring out coral lol

I’ll give it a few days to really open up and try to get some more pics - I would really like to have a good idea of what it is. thanks for some of the replies !

Regardless of what it ends up being - I got a deal on it and only paid $10 bucks for the piece
So I’m happy —- but again, still would love to hear some more opinions on what it is
