Is this a type of macro-algae?

It's attached pretty firmly to a rock, and has definitely grown longer over the past few months.

Thanks! It's an all-in-one 20 gallon tank, and I had actually used one of the back compartments as a mini-fuge with some cheato in there I got from my LFS. Cleaned it out a while back, as it kept sneaking out and clogging the pump. I guess one piece snuck all the way out into main tank and found a new home. Had a mandarin back then, so was hoping the fuge could help support pods. He made it for over a year -- but then I lost him. Won't go down the mandarin road again, but I do miss the little guy.
