Strange, most WD frags I see are usually described as "browned a bit from shipping" or "still coloring up" even after being in the system for a while (;

Colors and corallites do change, especially with frags, since they're usually taken from the tips.

This was my original picture of the one that I received with lineage on 5/22/17.

I chunked it in half and split the other half to my buddy. Here it is mounted on the rocks on 6/5/17.

Here it is as of today, both sides of it (one side gets more light). You can compare it to the pic above to see how the branches and corallites are thickening.

More light where the encrusting edge is growing out.

Hey! It's starting to change color, but I'm not sure if it's bleaching or coloring up??? Instead of being a ugly brown it's now a light brownish almost like its glowing blue. Did yours go thru this phase before fully coloring up?

Don't remember it doing that when I moved it up. It was sitting on the sandbed healing in ~130 PAR. It just started coloring up to the color that you see in the second pic there. Once it got to that color, I pulled it off the sandbed and stuck it into its current position which is in 480 PAR. Didn't show any signs of bleaching through the entire process. The entire process took 2 weeks.

When my corals recover from being pale or browned out, they seem to get a metallic green shimmer. If your coral is just getting pale, it could be either too much light or too little nitrates and phosphate.

Almost looks like a blue shimmer to me. Hopefully not bleaching
