Hey guys! So I acquired this tank from someone near me with everything in it back in August. It came with this toadstool and at the time I got it it was not looking the best. Over the past few months it has actually had 2 baby’s ( idk what you call it when corals split or leave a piece of themselves on the rock).

My first question is this a weeping willow? Or does anyone know the actual name? The polyps are super long, almost to the point where it looks like it will fall over.

Second questions is, how do I move the 2 offsprings? They are right next to the base of the mother and they seem to be growing pretty fast. I would like to move them to another rock or spot so they can fully grow out but idk how to move them.

Sorry about the crappy photos. They are from my iPhone and it’s my first reef tank so have some mercy lol.

Looks like weeping willow. You can either cut the babies off and let them reattach to some rubble or chisel a piece of rock off with them.

Also forgot to ask. How often do these things have baby’s? I have had this since August and it’s had these 2.

More than likely its where the base was touching at one point and it left a sliver behind which grew a new head.
