Is this a worm? Something else?

This is the first time I’ve seen anything like this in my tank. I have fish, some snails and crabs, and a pistol shrimp.

Is it moving? I would guess not and so may well be snail eggs. What species do you have in tank?

Ah! That sounds likely! No movement at all, it looks like salt (so maybe eggs as you suggested). I got a CUC from ReefCleaners.org with Dwarf Ceriths, Florida Ceriths, Nerites, and Nassarius snails

Should I remove them or just let them be? I guess they might make a tasty snack for my fish.

Difficult to raise so snack food makes sense to me. Might be worth comparing pics on web or messaging Reef Cleaners with pic 'cause you'll probably them again

my cerith snails use to lay eggs like that.

good snack for fish, inverts, corals. the planktonic stage won't survive. wont foul the water either.

also, eggs tend to be a sign of healthy happy inverts, so thats a good sign!
