I just ordered this, it hasn’t shipped yet though. The important thing is that the coral be bright, the arms and tips be colored. I won’t nitpick if it’s truely 100% yellow in color.

That is green.

I know it’s green. But In this hobby we have a “yellow” variety. I’ve heard the “yellow” looks greenish in white light and yellow in bluer light with the tentacles being uniform in color. I’ve never seen a yellow in person so idk what I’m looking for with ID. The light appears to be very white in the picture when you look at the eggcrate.

apparently Radions will turn neon green into yellow very well, as well as adjusting your vision by staring at a blue tank for a long time. I bought what I thought was a very bright yellow hammer from a LFS that turned out to be just neon green...

If any actually has a “yellow” hammer please comment and add some details about your coral. Thanks.

I’m not asserting the coral i ordered is yellow but it doesn’t look like the usual green tipped hammer where just the tips are green. I ordered it because it looked like it will be a very bright hammer, I won’t know until have it in my hands though.

Typical green hammers, which imo don’t look the same.

Do you have pictures of your coral under whiter light?
Maybe that is what they call lemon-lime? it looks like it will be bright, whatever it is.

I have what I guess I would call a yellow one, it is under a nano-box but previously under a kessil. You can see it next to my green ones, no editing and my glass is dirty in the photo, sorry.

The most common yellow hammer that I see sold isn't a true yellow. It's a neon-green hammer that looks yellow in blue light, particularly under blue LEDs.. I have it, and in the early morning under my kessil's blue only and/or blue+ it is a very bright yellow. As my lighting ramps up, the coral+'s come on and I transition into my whiter daylight look the coral looks more green.

Edit: It looks very much like what Tamberav has in his pictures above.

What types of common corals can become more desirable if bleached out and renamed? Asking for a friend

Here is my yellow(gold) hammer on the right, next to a steel blue/green splattered hammer.

Different angle, before I placed it where it is currently located:

I took a pic with my cell with whites cranked up to at 80 percent. No editing. Light was off for the night so everything kind of looking ticked and partially closed, sorry.

You can see the white LEDs in the pic..heh. it still looks yellowish to me more than green.

I don't have t5 so can't tell you what that does to it but I have never seen it look green like my other ones.
