Is this a Zoa?

I have this little colony in my tank and I'm not sure what it is, can anybody help. I think they look great and are hoping for it to grow and cover the piece of rock it's sitting on.

can be, but looks more like cyphastrea

I looked it up on Google and I don't think it's a cyphastrea. I'll try to take a better photo tomorrow.

I think it is an lps. Maybe a faith of some kind. They have similar but varied body styles.

I think dsc got it right. I was posting at the same time...

No this one doesn't seem to have a foot.

Definitely not a zoa then: i only have euphylia as far lps so will follow along with the id process. But great hitchhiker whatever it is, great colors!

Where did you get your rock btw?

I havent seen live rock that “live” in sometime.

I got most part of it from a guy that was closing down his tank and a bit came along with the corals we got from a guy that was closing down his frag tank.
