I had managed to get rid of this condition, I assumed to be brooklynella, a month ago after doing a formalin bath and a lot of metroplex, but it came back recently. I'm wondering if it's actually brooklynella because my fish acts perfectly fine, eats fine and everything. Also, none of my other fish has contracted it. Am I misdiagnosising?

Yes, it appears to be a very early stage of brooklynella, but while saying that there is a plethora of other infections/parasites... so you can not be absolutely sure. You are right in treating this as brooklynella as this is often seen with clownfish, and that could also explain while your other fish loom to have not contracted this.
