I have a 25g tank but remove most of the LR except for maybe 5lbs (dosing copper) and a hang on back filter thats been running continuously for 3 months. Right now i have a firefish, royal grammar and a dwarf angel. Not feeding alot maybe a tiny pinch of mysis shrimp everyday. Is my filtration temporarily adequate for now until im able to slowly add some more dried rocks i have sitting in my garage?

Btw the filter also have a handful of spirilax(sp) the ceramic media.

If you're dosing copper with LR still in it it can act like a sponge and absorb giving you false readings. Take the rock out and throw away as it's no good anymore.

Be sure to run something to remove the copper treatment. You'll probably have to run it ongoing as the copper is absorbed by everything in the tank.

Im dowing Cupramine but from what i hear most ammonia test kit will guve a false reading. I will be using Cuprisorb to remove copper ince treatment is done to remove it from the LR.
