Got this from reefer. Dude says he has no bugs. No reason to doubt as he is well known in community. Just triple checking this does not mirror aefw bites. Still smooth, did 10 min dip, no signs of eggs. Thx in advance.

Looks pretty healthy to me, maybe polyps getting ready to sprout?

Was this before of after the dip? I got AEFW once even when dipping so I now cut the frag off the plug no matter what the piece/cost is. I do this to help eliminate eggs. I also make sure the glue covers up onto the living flesh of the frag when I remount it. I mention that just incase this was post dip.

When you dipped, did you give it a solid swish around for a few seconds to see if anything fell off?

Nothing blew off, that I saw. And I basted pretty hard. This side is lower-light side of coral.

Thinking that if I cut off plug completely, and baste again hard, even if they were bites, I blew the bugs off and/or killed them.
Definitely cut off the plug. This is questionable at best. I see the possible bite marks you're looking at. I wouldn't take that gamble.

That’s my thought. Dude gave me a couple extras which “look” clean, so still ahead. Thanks!
