KCL dip the frags, blow them off during dip, then cut the bases off, check for eggs and re glue them to new plugs. What should I do with these frags? I can't quarantine it
No just got them by mail, dipped in revive, don't have other dips on hand, gonna ditch the plugsKCL dip the frags, blow them off during dip, then cut the bases off, check for eggs and re glue them to new plugs.

Another Option for an AEFW Dip - ReefBum
Potassium chloride (KCL) is a great dip for AEFW. It is not hazardous to humans like the Bayer dip and it is a clear solution, allowing you to see AEFW.www.reefbum.com
good, you can get small bags of potassium chloride at the grocery store for pretty cheap. No just got them by mail, dipped in revive, don't have other dips on hand, gonna ditch the plugs
I dont see but maybe 2-3 acro eaters but also planaria and polyclad which are not welcome but not as bad as red version. They in numbers can smother bases of coral and block the needed light for production of zooxanthellae which is their energy source. Can someone Id?

I looked the frags under bright light with magnifiers and don't see any planaria or eggs, I think gonna cut above any bite mark and glue in a new fragpluggood, you can get small bags of potassium chloride at the grocery store for pretty cheap.
you can add tank water to a container to keep frags happy while you get supplies.
If not check the frags real good they can blend in with brownish corals very good and can be easily missed, sometimes easier to see when the frag is out of water.
ok good luck, I've done it before too with no issues, it helps to put them on a frag rack close to the glass for a few weeks for observation.I looked the frags under bright light with magnifiers and don't see any planaria or eggs, I think gonna cut above any bite mark and glue in a new fragplug
me neither anymore, it's hard to say what's good for someone else, but me personally I'd only risk expensive hard to get corals, even then they are going through the process and I'm going to be 99% sure there's nothing going on, if I can't cut the base off it's getting loaded up with super glue! even then it's so much easier to get another replacement of one coral than deal with AEFW infestation for years. some people say they aren't a big deal but that's because they already have them. I bet 100$ they would do it over different if it ment not having them.....I wouldn’t risk it myself… if those are the only 2 acros you have and keep dipping them to make sure eggs don’t hatch then maybe..
If its modular then you can take the chance. I had AEFW in a 100g before and because it was modular I could dip whole structures. Eventually beat it over 3 months.I understand you guys, but it's a nano with six other frags, my rock work is modular so I can take it out and dip if needed, the store gave me credit in full value, I dipped two times, ditched the bases, cut around and tossed any tissue I felt was iffy, here in Brazil it's hard to get clean frags, we make do with what we have.
Gonna take the chance
