Agreed. You want to do it quickly and might have to use a container so it can't spread its seeds/spores. If it does they will show up all over the tank.If not attached to the rock, scoop sand with Aptasia and toss.
No, but I’ve got a colony of yellow polyp soft corals in the corner of the tank (about a foot away) and wasn’t sure if it was a stray. I just tossed the colony….I couldn’t tell if it was one of those or a bad guy.Oh sorry. Probably fine if you didn't do that. Any other aptasia in the tank?
That was going to be my guess was a yellow star polyp. I wonder if it’s common for them to spread all over the place. I had them on an island, but it appears this guy went rogueI don’t think yellow polyps are something many current hobbyists have seen. At least they don’t seem as common as they used to be (I think it’s cause they don’t glow under blues).
