Can anyone help if this is bad in my reef tank. Sorry it is very small hard to get picture it is the little red thing in center.

It looks more like a Ball-Tipped anemone to me.

They are a cool coral http://animal-world.com/Aquarium-Coral-Reefs/Palm-Tree-Polyps. My tank was to new and I killed it, they need a low flow area. Did this just pop out of the rock? if so good find.

Their ball anemone is above the tree

Well now I feel stupid because I've had a couple of these pop up in my tank and I used aptasia x on them thinking they were bad

The name is strawberry anemone. I've read that they are considered not good hitch hikers. From experience they do sting other corals. The way I got rid of them was by removing the rock it was on.
