Came on a small Zoa colony. aiptasia? Worm?

Thanks. Very disappointing as it was an order from a reputable vendor. I guess that it’s impossible to have a perfect commercial system.

haven’t dealt with this issue before. I removed the frag to a QT that I’m currently running that’s not currently medicated. I presume I should reach out to the vendor. What can I expect as a reasonable resolution? Refund? Would I toss the frag typically or return?
 
I’m not sure they would want it back. Take a pic I’m sure they will want that. Now that it’s in qt you can try and kill it and keep it in qt for a while to make sure it doesn’t come back. They are a pain to get rid of once they spread, you did the right thing removing it it will save you a headache later
 
Just carefully cut off the section with the aiptasia, the rest of the frag should be fine.

I got a peppermint shrimp... took care of them in about a week
 
Sounds like a good idea. When I had mine I was able to remove the rock & clean out my sump that had 1 or 2
