Is this aiptasia or perhaps a different type of anemone?

Yes...get rid of it! Your tank will explode with it... nuisance and will bother your coral

Yes. If you have kelkwasser, make a thick paste and use a syringe without needle and put a big glob over it. Leave it alone and it will die, in Few days the glob will be gone too. Good luck

This works awesome. You have to squirt it into their mouth. Just keep on top of it and you'll be ok.
A natural way to get rid of it is using lemon juice. You will need something like this. It comes with the aptasia x

Only a problem if you squish it into them. You just gotta squirt a bit. They will grab onto the syringe...kinda sad
Make sure you dont squish aptasia or try to manually take it out. That will make it spread like crazy

The aiptasia was attached to a button scoly that was in rough shape as I have been dosing vibrant for 2 months dealing with relentless turf algae so I took it straight out tried removing it in a container tried feeding the scoly after but didn't take in any reef roids so I trashed it hopefully my tank wasn't seeded.
