Bought a little acan frag the other day and it seemed clean. Suddenly saw hair algae so got an emerald who's chowing down. Now I see what looks like a small aiptasia. Looking for confirmation.

It's small. Left side of the frag.

That just does not look like it’s symmetrical enough to be Aiptasia. Unless the camera angle is changing reality.

Can't get a better pic. I can remove the frag and tear them off, clean it with a toothbrush for good measure?
Can't find anymore.

That’ll do it though the kalk option provides a certain degree of satisfaction as the kalk causes it to literally melt:)

I never ever inject it with anything, seems to rarely work in most cases, I take the frag out abs find it and kill it with a toothpick.

If it’s aiptasia I would deal with it out of the tank. Any time I used aiptasia x or F aiptasia they just came back (in same place or new places).

If I only had one, I would make sure to nuke that one. I would mark where it is, pull the rock and treat outside the tank. Kalk paste the heck out of it.

If it does spread, berghia nudibrach work. I no longer have any in my tank thanks to these guys.
