Don’t worry too much - have a plan and dont let them get out of control. Coral glue does wonders.
Yeah, just chuck the frag out.Can I remove it other than with super glue?
you basically have to scrape booger up. and if you dont want to remove rocks etc, You could always apply super glue to it or a form of paste like Aptasia X or F-Aptasia. Typically when applying these glues/pastes- you will want to turn off flow/pump for about 15 minutes to allow to set.Can I remove it other than with super glue?
You can use F-Aiptasia, but it will probably harm the zoanthids. Another option is to use berghia nudibranchs, however, they will die once there is no aiptasia left. A 3rd option is to use peppermint shrimp, although you will have to check if it is a true peppermint or else it won't eat your aiptasia and could eat your corals. Can I remove it other than with super glue?
Not likely - even if you use a scalpel to scrape it off - odds are good you’re not going to get it all and it’ll come back. Usually Ill pull out the frag - scrape as much of the brown goo that he becomes once out of water off with a scalpel (dont damage the coral - made that mistake before), and super glue the spot he was on so he doesn’t come back to haunt your dreams. Can I remove it other than with super glue?
Without seeing your "skills" ... I would say it's time to get a new frag. Unless, a polyp or 2 didn't get covered. So my super glue skills suck and I've basically managed to cover the entire frag. Advice?
You need to learn to work with precision when it comes to super glue - a good scalpel can help with that. If you can always pull the stuff out and work on it on a countertop vs trying to do this inside the tank.So my super glue skills suck and I've basically managed to cover the entire frag. Advice?
