Is this algae, bacteria or other?

Have been getting this thread like growth around the base of my yellow hammer and it’s starting to wrap around the base. In my normal maintenance water change I removed what I could via brush and tried to remove as much as possible from water column. It’s spaghetti like and breaks apart easily
Any ID or causation for this growth? Sorry for the poor pic. Just have phone. Thanks

Looks like a sponge to me. They are harmless, but can sometimes get big and bother the coral. Should be able to just pull/scrape it off the coral.

Doesn't look bacterial. Probably a sponge like Sand mentioned.
