Is this algae coralline or cyano?

Doesn't look like coralline to me. The color looks wrong, and IME coralline doesn't grow like that. Mine generally starts growing on the sides/lower light areas first. Not just on top of the rocks like that.

Coroline doesnt grow like that...if you want to be super sure take a tooth brush too it... cant remover coroline with one... no matter how hard you try.

Thats how cyano begins after a while of not taking care of it become a bright red mat on your rock had it happen before

NEED HELP!!
I wanted to reach out to everyone to confirm what looks like a recent Cyano (if not other) bacteria outbreak. From what I've read and understand about algae it doesn't seem to be that. This is a recently cycled tank that currently only has snails. I did add my first fish (mimic tang) but removed it shortly after as I noticed Ich symptoms. That was 3 days ago. At the same time I needed to fix my OF box so I removed the rocks, fish, and snails. Then fixed the box and rescaped and filled. Again currently only snails are in the tank.
Back to the outbreak. Started as small spots/patch. It appears to be maroon strands laying on top of gray patches and it some spots it's solid red patch. Tried removing with siphon only to come back. Been progressively spreading (only on sand) for about 2wks. Base on the pics and tank info below, I would love to know what you might recommend to combat this bacteria?

Vertex 130 skimmer
(Berlin No fuge, 4x8Pur Block)

100% cyano. Water changes and flow should clear it up. You can also reduce your lighting schedule for awhile. I'm guessing your beneficial tank bacteria couldn't quite handle the load of the messy eating tang

2 rw8s is most likely the issue here. I have 1 in a 30 gallon. And another comperable. And its litterally just enough. 2 rw big ones? in a 125 and its too much. Ish. For me anyway.

Breathe it's not that bad of an out break
Look for some stuff called chemchem....it's reef safe and works. Will also make your skimmer wet skim insanely so turn that off while using and expect issues after you do the water chances and turn it back on. Just empty it out.

I have a tank with the same size like the Red Sea reefer 250, and I have 2 rw8, can you tell me where is the best location for them? Because I have them in the middle pointing one vs the other but there is to much flow (in position 1 - the lower in both of them)

Sort of. After reading over several suggestions and talking with a few others. I ended up going lights out (moonlight only)
I was also running GFO (about 5 days at this point), and cut feeding as I had only snails. I did unfortunately lose my Mimic Tang to parasites after moving into QT. the other thing I did was add a Two Spot Goby and two Gold Bandits Shrimp. Then on day 4 I turned the lights on! I'd say the Goby is a keeper.
Now to be clear I am not advising this method or claiming it as a solution. Only wanting to share good news aside from losing the tang. I had fully intended to hand graze and water change and wait it out while using the new additions only to assist.
This is certainly contradiction to most of the known methods for treating a DT for not only ICH but Cyano and I am not at all challenging them, but I'm happy with the balance for the time being.
