Is this algea on Birds Nest tips?

I have a birds nest frag that has been hanging out for a couple of weeks. It's either growing slowly or not growing but recently there has been brown growth on the tips of a couple of the branches. It looks like it could be algae so I wanted to look for potential recommendations on how to treat.

This pic is of the coral with the middle two tips with the brown algae/slime.

This is a pulled out shot of the rock it is on with similar algae/slime on the rock to the left if that helps ID.

I've just been using test strips to make sure parameters aren't way off so don't know the current levels of anything besides nitrates bellow 20ppm.... But I did just do a whole 40% water change (2 gallons for a 5 gallon tank)

Potentially other relevant info. During the water change this frag was exposed above the water for 10min but I tried to keep it wet by pouring water on it every minute or so. Didn't notice algae until a day after water change.

Looks like some bleaching with a tiny bit algae on some of it too. I think the water change may have been a little hard on it. Ten minutes seems like a fair bit of time to be exposed depending on humidity and temperature.

It has been that color for a while. I guess I never considered it might be bleaching. It is at the top of the tank, could it be that lights are too strong or is bleaching potentially multiple causes?
