Hey guys! About 4 weeks ago I got this zoa rock from divers den on liveaquaria and I honestly didn’t pay close attention to it until a couple days ago, but it has these two pieces that look like clams on it, and I noticed that they open slightly and then close, I spent a couple of minutes just staring at them and they open slightly for a little while, and then close back up, and I looked closely into one and I can see something move inside... could these be alive??? Help please

You're lucky! That is nice!
After a while, when your system matures and coralline algae takes over, it will look amazing! Make sure you give it some invert food for clams. Those clams are kinda sensitive. Avoid touching and moving them around.

They always caught my eye when I would see them at my LFS, but I didn’t dare to get one because I was afraid of it dying, and I got two without even knowing at first. I definitely will!

Sure looks like a type of clam to me. Very cool score.

I had something similar come in on some gulf coast live rock. It had actually came loose from the rock. One day, I saw it moving through the current by squirting water through itself. It was very cool. Unfortunately, it managed to move to a spot where I can no longer see it.

They won't be able to use light as giant clams can, so you need to feed them. That is the only problem besides hurting them by accident when moving the rocks or something like that. You can try very small amounts of amino acids and liquid/particle (powder) invert food. Do not overfeed !! Avoid too much carbon filtration. I would stay away from any GFO to remove phosphates. Keep a good skimmer at the most.
If you can please post a video of the shell moving. That would be so nice to see!! I love those clams!
