Is this a "baby" anemone? It does not look like the aiptasia growing randomly (which I'll be eliminating soon)

Now, I had the same question not too long ago. Looking at your picture, I assume its the critter in the center of the picture. I had to research what my mysterious squishy critter was.

At first I was fearful it could be a Majano anemone which are mean and invasive. Or was even told it could be a aiptasia which is also bad. But you, seem to have a lot of Majano anemone! (as seen in the background) Google these two types of anemone and compare for yourself.

Good luck!

If its that plentiful, its aptasia. We never get lucky with anything we want to grow randomly in our tanks :-p

to the last to replies, this is not aiptasia I'm like 95% sure. I have maybe 13 aiptasia over 20 lbs of live rock, and only on 3 of them, (this one included) but it is totally different from the aiptasia. There's two of these little guys, and they are not attracted to light from what I can tell, as they shrink into the rock in the day time when in running the lights. Those pictures last night look like crap because I used a flash in a dark room on an I5c with no light on the tank but my flash. Babysit grandmas babysitting tonight so I'll be able to turn the light on for better pics here soon

Also that can you tell if that is some sort of polyp in the background? Or is it zoanthids? Here's a better picture. If it helps, before I turned the lights off, the majority of them seemed to have "shut down" for the night. They're heads are sorta rolled up. I'll try to get better pictures of both, as well as my new little additions.

It's still hiding, but here's two shots of one. And a comparison of aiptasia in my tank. It looks like clear tentacle-like arms with little balls on the ends

It does not look anything like the photos I've seen of mojano. I'm leaning toward frog span an or torch anemone.

I would say with almost certainty that it's not a euphyllia of any kind. Look up ball anemones and google pest anemone and see what you find. Good luck with the ID

Looks like a Ball Nem or Strawberry Nem to me, from those pics.
