Hey all! I got some live rock the other day and noticed this guy poking out of it this evening! Not the best pics, I’ll try to get some better ones

Looks like aiptasia, yeah.

Pull the rock out of the water, keeping an eye on where the anemone is, and wait for it to retract into a little ball. Cover it in liquid superglue, wait a few minutes, and put the rock back in the tank. That should kill it.

Ya, not the variety you want Aptasia likely, perhaps Majano, but let's all breathe for a moment....they are a nuisance fact of life for many here. Many ways to get rid of them, research it, and get on it would be my best advise. They are manageable if you find the particular method that works for you.
 
They can be manageable, sure. But it's generally preferable not to have any. If there's only a couple, they're easy enough to remove, and then there's no need to manage them at all. I'm not aware of any benefits of having aiptasia, unless you really like the looks of 'em.
