Is this aptasia?

The one thing I will say about aptasia is don't underestimate their ability to survive. I'm not debating methods as there are many threads that have that going on. I've dealt with aptasia for many years and it is a battle. My wife and I have tried injecting everything from lemon juice to vinegar into aptasia just to watch them come back with many more. I've seen them survive peroxide dips and come back from over 8 hours out of water. The only thing that truly worked for us was manual removal out of the tank which is very difficult or natural predators. It's always a risk injecting or covering an aptasia and wait a month before you call victory.
They truly are the cockroaches aquaculture. Once you see one, you must do your best to rid of it. In my experience, aiptasia predators are slow and rarely find their target.

So i got lucky the large one was underneath my gray plug so wasn’t an issue. The other one I took a razor blade and scraped it out. I had a 3rd one. As soon as I removed the frag from the water it hid and I scraped everywhere where I saw it. Not sure if I got it but I guess only time will show. I’ve got 3 zoa frags from my lfs and 2 of them have this on them. The pink one I showed above has 5 heads. Should I just frag them? Kinda scared and don’t wanna end up with more.

Here’s the frag before I took off the aptasia. The drag in the background is a drag of that frag. I got this from the $10 drag tank and my lfs I wanted some different zoas and it had some on there but it’s got these other green polyps. What are these? I’m really not a fan and would like to remove them if possible

Those are green palys. Some people like them, some don’t. They’re easy to care for and grow pretty fast. I’d keep them away from your more expensive corals. Good luck with the aiptasia. Sounds like you picked up a good bunch. In the future, if you buy from that same LFS, you probably need to quarantine. I always try to look really closely when I buy to see what’s living on the frags. But still, you never know.

DO NOT Dig out or pluck as some suggested as you will release spores which are like eggs and end up with more. Get a syringe and inject either lemon juice or use kalk and mix into a paste and inject into core of aptasia and they will melt away

yeah. between the rockflower and zoa. If i just pluck him it will be fine? Or can i go back and dip the whole rock at this point then put it back in my tank? or will that shock the anenome too much. Hes already not in such great shape. I hope its not dying, same with the zoas. The zoas have been closed for 2 days now.
Dipping will not harm Aptasia!

I never put frag plugs in my tank, aiptasia will not live on healthy live coral tissue do I always remove any coral I'm buying, dip in revive for other pests, then mount it that way. You always see aiptasia on frag plugs. I haven't been able to buy any zoas because they seem to be aiptasia magnets. Every zoa rock I've inspected at the few stores near me have aiptasia hiding somewhere. Enough to scare me off from buying any. When I but a hammer or frogspawn I dip and scrub the crap out of the branches with a toothbrush while it is in the dip. Any removal technique you do I would do it outside the main tank to reduce the chance of them spreading. Good luck.

I just got a Xenia frag with some small zoas on the sides of the frag. Dipped it. Hope it survives. I saw a rather large aiptasia in one of the tanks at the LPS. So, didn’t take any chances.

Yes it is. Grab a syringe and mix Kalk powder with water into a paste and smother at the core. They will melt down to nothing. lemon juice also works BUT. . . make sure you get it in the core (center) of each one
