I believe it is. Try Frank’s F-Aiptasia. It will get this for sure. Cover them really well, let it dry. If they peak out…cover than spot. You’ll get them.

Yes they are. Attack them where they are with aptasia killer. The skeleton of a lobo is too porous to scrape them off without seeding more, although I have not tried scraping followed directly by a dipping. I did scrape and use a toothbrush and rinse the base under the tap and now its sprouting more than before so I am killing them in place now. I have two peppermint shrimp but they insist on living in the overflow for now. They are too small and there are no adults in stock

Thanks for your response everyone! Here's a closer shot of the culprits. They've definitely grown a little and you can see another two more popping up...

I'm located in Australia so I don't think it's easy to source Frank’s F-Aiptasia, any other recommendations?

With the lemon juice method, am I scrapping it off first then using the lemon juice on the spot where it was?

With the superglue, do I scrape then apply the superglue on the spot it was scrapped off?

(Will definitely be removing the plug and scrapping in a different container.)

Aiptasia for sure.
With the lemon juice, put it in a bowl of tank water. Actually, no matter what method you use, do not do this in your tank, they will spread.
Anyway, put it in a bowl of tank water. Use a syringe full of lemon Juice and just a little squirt at the base of the pest. It may let go and float away. You may have to work it. If you scrape, you won't get it all and they will be back.

Better still, pry off the coral of they are on the tile. Remount the coral.

Those look like something other than aptasia…..I’d hold off on killing them to get a better identification. Possibly feather dusters…but I don’t think so… Can you see what it’s coming out of (a tube like a feather duster, a foot like an anemone, etc.). Does it retract when you poke at them? If yes, quickly or slowly? Can you get a closer pic? What’s going on with the mouth area.. it almost looks like a little ball?

Definitely not Aiptasia, which are more fleshy. Might be the dreaded, photosynthetic Myrionema hydroids.
