Hi folks. I need help identifying this pests. I’ve seen them before on my DT on a few rocks, but now they are all over the place and specially on all surfaces of my sump.
Please help me confirm this is aptasia or something else?
Thanks

These are hydroids. Easiest first recourse ids to starve them. Best way is to direct water flow towards them- Not at them and they will get no food which they favor brine shrimp.
Other if youre patient is to apply a Small dab of Gel superglue from the dollar store to each head and they will starve and ball up

Every pest outbreak I’ve ever has has been due to over feeding. U can definitely starve those guys out if you’re deliberate about feeding small amounts. I would use reef roids or anything like that either. Just chunks of some type of food for the fishys
