Attached is a short clip of my sick clown fish.

I suspect it's a bacterial infection, but would greatly
appreciate a second opinion from folks more knowledgeable than myself.

Thank you!
Seth

The heavy breathing and mucus suggest either velvet or brooklynella. I also see some very small white spots which could be ich.

A problem here is that the treatment for ich and velvet is copper in QT while the treatment for brooklynella is formalin in QT.

@Jay Hemdal or @vetteguy53081 may be able to narrow down the diagnosis.

You will need a QT setup in either case. Copper products include Copper Power and Coppersafe.

Thank you all for the quick responses.

As I don't have any inverts in my tank, I just dosed the tank with Sera Costapur, which is supposed to treat ich, brooklyn, and other parasites.

I'm afraid it'll still be in the tank if I just QT the fish showing symptoms. I'd also have to destroy my rock scape in order to catch them.

Fingers crossed!

Sera costapur F is an effective cure against ichthyophthirius (White Spots Disease) and other skin parasites such as costia, chilodonella and trichodina in fresh water and Brooklynella hostilis, Uronema marinum, Cryptocarion irritans and others in sea water.

With eyes hazed over and heavy breathing, this is secondary bacterial with lesions starting to form. Fish will have to go into quarantine and best treated with broad spectrum medication . Seachem Kanaplex for at least 5 days and air stone added for additional oxygen . The clown behind it also breathing heavy and while no visible issues suggests gill irritation such as flukes or parasite. There are dots on the forward clown which can be protozoan or can be sand.
Again Move to quarantine ASAP.
If you can get a hold of product, a 60 minute ruby rally pro bath will help up front
I see you are out of country- You can try to locate Waterlife Myxazin which contains acriflavine, malachite green and formaldehyde.

I'm not familiar with that product. I found this description of ingredients.

"Malachite green oxalate 0.18g, formaldehyde solution 5.89g (equals 2.06g formaldehyde), aqua purificata ad 100ml"

Formalin is a type of formaldehyde, but I am not sure about the dosage you should use.

If I QT the sick fish, won't the parasites still be in the tank?

I treated the tank with Esera Costapur which seems similar to the Myxazin, Yes?

Composition: malachite green oxalate 0.18 g, formaldehyde solution 5.89 g (equals 2.06 g formaldehyde), aqua purificata ad 100 ml.

Similar yes-
While you can quarantine all the fish, the bacteria host the fish itself and I would focus on water quality which allowed this to develop

Darn. That fish doesn't have much time. I would start with a 1 hour formalin dip for brook, then into full strength copper (2+ ppm Copper Power or Coppersafe) for velvet. Then daily formalin dips while keeping the fish in copper.

Unfortunately, that looks pretty bad. I would watch the other fish closely.

Paraguard might be better than formalin if they go that route given its availability and the dangerous nature of formalin.

It might be. I don't know what's in it. Seachem lists "proprietary aldehydes and malachite green". They also make Prime and AmGuard, so I don't know how far to trust them.

I've used it before when treating fish with brook. The mysterious aldehyde appears to work from my experience (or at least it disappeared from the fish and they never got brook again). The aldehyde is probably very similar to formaldehyde but yes seachem likes to be mysterious as do most reefing companies lol

I know some people have used rally pro for treatment too.

I've heard that too. Rally pro always confuses me because it either has too little formalin to work and be reef safe or enough formalin to work and not be reef safe
