Hello, I have had this euphyilla for almost 6 months and it had been happy and growing since I got it, for the most part. I just went away for 3 days and I had my mom look after my tanks. I come back and notice that a large amount of my euphyillas tissue has turned brown. Could this be bjd? I don’t see any brown jelly and all other corals appear to be healthy. I’m unable to do a water test right now but I will be able to update with that soon. Thanks.

That looks like some sort of algae growth. BJD is on the head, not stem.

I think the bottom of it is dying because I had 4 heads growing down there and now they aren’t even there

Update: Seems like it is going further up stem. The heads have been open pretty big lately but I’m afraid the bottom of the stem is dying and it will eventually reach the head and kill them off. Maybe I should frag it?

Ime, bjd surrounds the euphyllia tentacles, like a light brown translucent cloud. Your update shows healthy polyps. Can't explain the dark skeleton. Do nothing until more adverse symptoms appear.

That almost seems like sponge growth on the stem but its hard to tell from the pictures.
I’d think the same thing. Can you use a flashlight and try to get some nice clear pics of the skeleton?

True, but stability will matter more. Hobby kits can only do so good and the other corals appear ok so I wouldn’t think they’re that out of range of normal.
Test kits are easy to mess up as well. But
If you're worried about the growth on the lower skeleton of the torch, scrape it off. Easy to do.

Those are way too high! Curious to your other parameters.
Yeah they are a little high I wouldn’t say way to high though lol. They’ve been in these types of parameters since I got them and have been doing great since this. I’m not trying to argue I’m just saying
