Not sure what’s going on with this clown. One of these clowns (the storm) is new and the other I’ve had for a year. The storm recently came directly from ORA and against my better judgement I put it right in my nano since the other clown was the only fish in there. After a few days I notice the little clown isn’t eating and has stringy poop. At that time I elected to move the new clown to a QT and dose general cure. The next day I notice my original clown isn’t eating and also has stringy poop. So I moved her into the QT. The next day I did the second round of GC then 48 hours later did a big water change.

A few days go by and both fish start eating fine, but I notice this “stuff” on the side of the bigger clown. Suspecting brook I freshwater dipped them. The “stuff” in the side mostly went away after the dip. I then put them in a clean QT and started metroplex at two scoops per 10g. 48 hours later I did another dose of metroplex.

Unfortunately said “stuff” came back and is growing. It’s almost cottony in appearance However the fish is still eating and acting fine. The little clown is also eating fine and has shown no signs of anything on his body.

So I’m due for another round of metro today. Do I continue this? I also have Ruby Reef Rally Pro on hand, I was considering doing a 90 min bath on both of them, sanitizing the QT and sticking them back in there. Thoughts on what this is and that course of action?

Hope the video works, YouTube kept butchering it.

Good video
Does appear to be brooklynella and many recent cases of such
You can give it a 5 minute freshwater dip for temporary relief and plan on treatment
Formalin based treatment is the best recourse using quick cure or ruby rally pro
Start with a 45 minute formalin bath or 90 minute ruby bath and treat for 10-14 days
The haziness you see is mucus

So I've done two Ruby Reef Rally baths on these clowns, transferring them to clean tanks after and dosing metroplex (two scoops per 10g) to the tank. The bigger clown still has this mucus after all of this, the little one shows absolutely no signs of anything. Both have been eating throughout this. The mucus on the bigger one seems to be progressing further today, and she's darting around the tank fast like she's uncomfortable.

So I'm planning on doing another round of rally bath>clean tank>add metro again this afternoon.

I guess what I don't understand is why after all of this, this clown still showing these signs? Multiple rally baths, and every time back into a tank that I dose metro to, but nothing has helped. Meanwhile the little clown has shown absolutely no signs, physical, behavioral or otherwise of anything that I can see.

here’s a video of her I just took
