I look d at that thread , not sure if that's it, they are like little stars, some on rocks but most are on the bare bottom, I used tweezers to pop them off , they seem to stay intact when they come off, phos is at 0.0 but nitrates are 12-16, but sps are thriving, only thing is that I changed out my two t5 bulbs and one I switched to purple plus, possibly the red spectrum isn't helping, I run Kessils 360 w and two t5's.If that is what it is, take a look at this thread.

Thx u took a look and not sure if that's it!Not bryopsis. Looks like Cladophoropsis
Just like plants they send runners out. If you notice in your picture, there are small tufts and larger ones. That is because it will spread like turf algae.Thx u took a look and not sure if that's it!
Oh your a lifesaver!!!! For a very long time, i forgot the name of this algae i have in my tank also. Litterally spend days trying to find the name again thank you!Not bryopsis. Looks like Cladophoropsis
I don't think it's necessary, though.Thx that might be it, still looks different,I got that and some bubble algae from some Zoas frags that I bought!!Corals kill off the algae when they grow both sps and lps so its not threatning. Hermitz and margarita snails chow it down
