The best I can tell is that this is Bryopsis but I want to be certain so I can best try to get rid of it. It came in on some GSP and I didn't catch it before it took root and has absolutely exploded since. It seems like it almost sends runners out and has been coming up in other spots in the sand. I remove as much as I can manually but don't really seem to be making any ground. When I pull the stuff out of the sand it comes up with almost like a root structure that brings some sand with it. And it is very stuck to the rocks where it has grown on to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dang. Well I thought I had it figured out. Any ideas as to what it might be? It seems to coarse to be GHA. It almost looks wiry like chaeto but I've never handled any to be sure. And not really sure if that's how it would grow.

Looks like what I have . Following. It’s not feathery like he said so idk what it is

I couldn't seem to find a definitive answer as to what it was so I decided to treat it as Bryopsis since based on everything I read it most closely resembled it. So I dosed my tank with Fluconazole. It took maybe a week to a week and a half and it completely eradicated the algae and it has not returned at all since. Hopefully this helps!
