Reef Flux treatment (fluconazole) is supposed to take 3 weeks... not days... I didn't see anything change until start of week 3 - it was all dead by end of week 3. I did the double dose treatment I found online - it has never come back. Only my yellow tang did bad - did a B.I.G. waterchange at end as recommended, ran charcoal in a canister, then moved yellow tang back to its home with other fishy friends, corals & inverts that all stayed in the main tank. Yellow tang was moved to QT and 'vacationed' there since it tried to die from treatment, but I've heard people compare them to canaries in coal mines... at least it pulled thru - was right as rain in less than a day in my little 5g Petco QT where it spent 3 weeks.

To treat the tank in such a way for a few strands of maybe algae was a little extreme in my humble opinion. If there’s more algae I’m not seeing, there may be a better way to deal with it, otherwise, if I really wanted to get the algae off just the zoa frag I would just take it out and use a little diluted peroxide on it.Affects on the algae, wondering if this is bryopsis or not
