I'm a new reefer, and just got my first set of coral, a couple of which are candy canes. Something looks off on this Candy Cane to me. Can someone help me understand if this is normal or not? Should I do something different with this coral?

If there puffy there doing well.

Every coral needs time to adjust to new environment; that said, it looks okay to me. What makes you think something is wrong?
Good luck in the hobby.

@Mikedawg these 2 sppts look a bit pulled back, and it is not as fluffy as the other candy canes I got. They look like there is more flesh going down the skeleton maybe?

Hard for me to see. Assume you dipped and acclimated all of them and they are placed appropriately. I would just watch closely over next few days. Good luck and I didn't notice any cause for concern

Yes, all were dipped and drip acclimated. Placed then in the tank with an 8 day ramp up to what I'm planning to use a my normal lighting schedule.

Seems like you are doing everything right

To me it looks like it is getting ready to split. Typically Candy Canes become an oval like shape before splitting into two heads. Looks healthy to me.
