Is this container reef safe?

It doesn't say food grade, so I'm honestly not sure. May very well be though so let's see what others say.

As an alternative, I believe Petco is having their $1 per gallon sale. Could you use 10g tanks instead? That may not be large enough, but just thinking outloud.

I use a similar one to mix water with I think it will be fine. I also use a wp40 on full blast to mix and it doesn't buldge much at all, even with all the flow
 
Really, did you leave the water there for like a week and the thing does not bulge at all? Mine must have been old or defective then. When I had water in it, I avoided moving it because I was afraid I would break it....! anyway, good to know.

I've had water mix in there for 2 weeks a couple times, I've used the same container for about 6 years now. Before I had pumps to move the water from the container to the tank I would lift the container up onto 2 stools to gravity feed to the sump lol. It's been through a lot lol
