Cyano is red algae but it could also be a different type of algae or shade of coralline but probably not.

Uh cyano is not an algae. It is a photosynthetic bacteria.

I know it’s cyanobacteria but it’s also commonly called red slime or red algae!

There is actually red algae though that is not cyano. But yes people do infer it incorrectly.

I know that too it’s not as commonly used in aquariums well compared to things like chaeto. But myself and others call it red algae, red slime, etc. lots of different names!

I would say what ever it is as long as your parameter are good I wouldn’t put to much thought in it. Your tank looks pretty new from the pictures above. With a new tank your going to have things happening in it untill it gets established. Just keep doing what you doing and be patient. There’s a chemical/cure for all But not needed all the time
