Hard to tell by the picture...but if it looks maroon in color, then it's more than likely cyano. If it's brown, it could be dinos or diatoms.

If your no3/po4 were bottomed out and you put in some frags from a tank with dinos, then a good chance they would take over and proliferate quickly.

If it is cyano, then fixing the reason for the cyano will make it go away. I wouldn't immediately jump to ChemiClean until you have tried other options first...chemiclean also seems to kill off other good microfauna as well.

What would my reason for cyano be because it's maroon in color what happened at first was a candy cane coral had a little hair algae I didn't notice at first but I did once it was in the tank so b I'm guessing that's where it all came from ?

Chemiclean may in fact kill the cyano temporarily, but unless you change the underlying conditions it will return. It can also kill of more beneficial micro organisms.

It would be a good time to start testing your nutrients. Nitrates are easy to test with any kit. For PO4, you need a Hanna ultra low phosphate checker. We see a lot of cyano when there is an imbalance of one nutrient versus the other. Cyano can also take place when nutrients are swinging.

Siphon out the cyano mats frequently and figure out your nutrient levels.

Phosphates are 0 nitrates are hard to tell the color but looks like zero
