The redish pinkish stuff on the glass is coraline. Sign of a healthy tank. Adds color and a lot of people try to get it to grow.
 
Yep, work on balancing out your phosphates and nitrates/nutrients :) Po4 .02 to .03 and nitrates 3 to 5 ppm.

I’ve been doing weekly 5 gallon water changes and keeping my nitrates are low. I don’t have a test kit for phosphates though, do I need one? Also should I remove this stuff, I’ve got a lot of copapods in that hair algae.

Yes you need a phosphates tester. I suggest the Hanna ULR Checker.
