Hi All,
About a month ago I moved an established tank that had been running for several years into a new system with new sand.
I've replaced sand before and often experienced a diatom bloom followed by classic red Cyano. Chemiclean easily dealt with it each time with no side effects.
This stuff is green and bubbly like I haven't seen before, but I suspect it's blue green cyano, and would like some second opinions so I don't treat with Chemiclean for no reason.
Its covering most of the sand and builds up more and more bubbles as the day goes on. It also grows aggressively on the glass and I have to scrape a green film off more than once a day to keep it totally clean.
Here's some pics...
Any input is appreciated.
