Hi,
recently I’ve noticed the formation of this red algae, and am not sure if it’s red coralline, cyano, or something else.

If this is early-stage cyano algae, how can I eliminate it? If it’s not cyano, what else could it be?

Take a turkey baster and see if it easily blows off the rocks. Cyano will blow off real easily... if not, then probably not cyano.

Cyano is just part of life. Most every tank has a little. As long as it isn't spreading out of control, I would not even waste any effort thinking about it. There are probably hundreds of threads on the subject of cyano identification and control on this site, so I'm not even going to make any suggestions other than saying you should do some research.

I wouldn't worry too much about cyano unless it starts spreading a lot. In newer tanks its part of the uglies stage. In a more mature tank its likely something is unbalanced or nutrient issue.

I just recently had a really bad outbreak (it covered my entire sand bed) but used chemiclean and it was fantastic. Added a fuge right after to keep my nutrients down and its been 2 weeks since and I haven't seen it come back!

Okay. If I blow it off, will that help it spread? Is there a good way to remove it?
Blowing it off will not spread it to grow more. It's already in the system. You can always siphon it out during a water change... that helps a lot while you get the nutrients stable... if that's the problem and if it's cyano.
