Hi guys! My candy cane coral got ripped apart by my pistol shrimp a couple months back. It’s regrown a bit, but since then a red slimy algae has covered its skeleton. Here’s some pics:

Looks like Dino’s to me! Dealing with it right now
 
Does it blow off easily? Does it die back during lights out.?

No matter what it is, if you don’t like it, brush it off with a toothbrush. If it’s stubborn, apply peroxide to the toothbrush.

I did brush it off. It also blew off easily. I’m going to do more frequent water changes to keep it from spreading.
