Showed up today on the top tips of the scape and a few random dots in that area. 30 days into new tank. No nitrates or phos. Not sure if that matters.

It pretty much dusted off with a brush.
Appears to be red slime algae and a sign you may have slight elevated Phosphate levels and you can reduce bright white intensity a little to reduce this substance. If you do mot yet have snails, snails such as cerith, astrea, nerite and trochus will consume this.
What test kits are you using to test Po4 and No3?

Salifert test kits, nitrate 1-2, phos 0. I have some LPS, should I still decrease the white light? I have cleanup crew coming 3/1.

You can decrease slightly without effect on LPS

So this grew out a bit more and maybe it’s easier to identify now. Do bubbles mean dinos or not necessarily. It’s also more red/brown than purple. Also mostly on my upper rock work but have spots on lower rocks now too but don’t see anything on substrate yet.
