Good reefing to everyone.
First time to post, appreciate all the help.
2 yrs in to hobby and 1 yr with this red sea 350. Struggling to keep sand bed clean. Battling this algae over last 6 months. Noted just on sand bed, gets worse throughout day and calms down at night. Don't feel like it has the red tinge color to it of red cyanobacteria but more green and if left untouched it seems to almost clump up into green patches. I have tried chemi clean and did not note any results from it. Cautious on trying again. I work pretty hard to keep sand bed clean but continues to come back. Conchs and nassarius are working to keep sand moving but still never keep up as I clean sand weekly with water changes.
Phosphate .02 -.06ppm Nitrates 2-4ppm. Just wanted to verify if everyone thought it was cyanobacteria or something else and if they recommend another method overcome it.
Also wanted to see if anyone has had this growth pattern for their SPS. It is like squiggly arms coming out of it. It is a cheap green acro, but it doesn't seem right. Alk. 8.3 - calcium 450 - mag 1400.
