My tank has been up for 4 weeks and I have been runnnig. My lights for 3 days. I have a hydra hd 26. I’m running acclimation mode. Ives started seeing the tips of my rocks turn brown. I’m assuming it’s diatoms. It’s not on the sand bed at all.

You are getting your first algae on the rocks. This is completely normal. Rocks go through a series of color changes overtime as new types of algae colonize it.

I am assuming it’s the lights because it’s the tops of the rocks that get the most light. None on the sand as of now. I am using the ab+ schedule I found online. I am using the acclimation setting so it’s not full strength.

Anyone else have idea exactly what kind of algae this is?

I can't see it well from the pictures but I suspect it is some type of brown film algae. There are a lot of critters that will eat it. So now that you have algae growth you can start thinking about herbivores. Start slow and add as needed.
