It's brown though.. picture has a purple tinge to it. disappears when the lights are off over night.. then comes back throughout the day when the lights are back on
I'd still bet cyano. I have some real dark stuff and some light areas too.
Probably responding to an increase in light. I'd bet it fades away in a week or two.

Diatoms btw are generally dusty in texture. Dinos are , well, gross.

Idk I do see bubbles there. It could be Dino. I'm having the same exact problem. I'm going lights out for 3 days and see where that gets me. I have the same problem. It goes away at night then during the day it gets worse and worse. Hopefully lights out will starve it all and get rid of it!

Yes same here. Lights out for 3 days and it comes back after a day with the lights on. I have added a dose of Vibrant to see how it goes. Scrubbed down the glass and corners. see how it works.

Looks just like the cyano I had in my tank listen to @saltyfilmfolks advice I had mine whipped in three or four days with his advice.
