You guys think this light will be enough for maintaining corals alive?
It's a stock light for a Maryland 3g nano

pics aren't always worth a thousand words.in the case of trying to figure out if ya gotta enough light they are not. tank photos always seem much brighter than in person.it's almost impossible to tell from a photo how much light your corals are actually getting.important things are what kinda light is it?what kind of corals are you planning to keep?how high above the tank does the light hang?the only way to tell if you are getting the proper amount of light is to measure it with a par meter or other light measuring device.they are expensive to purchase for the average aquarist.check with your lfs or aquarium club to see if they rent or loan one out.that is truly your best bet to find the answer to your question.hope that helps and good luck.

Good question let me do some research to see if I find that, it's the stock light that came with the tank a Maryland 3g tank.
I think it's just going to be zoas and softies, maybe an anemone

Hi guys, I could only find that this light is 5000kelvin but no much info about diodes.
It has 6 white and 6 blue leds but that all I could find about it

What is the wattage of the diodes? If you cannot find this, what does it draw at the wall at 100% - can you find/use a kill-a-watt?

The other option is to find a PAR meter and borrow it. If you can get 100 PAR, you should be able to grow most Z&P.

Larger 'nems are going to be hard in 3g of water... and this might not be enough light anyway. However, mini carpet nems (Maxi Mini) from the Gulf are very colorful and cool.

Thank you, I think mini carpets is what they had in mind, if we can't find how many diodes or get a kill a watt I think we are gonna start looking for a par meter
