Just got this CB yesterday, acclimated, put in QT. Tried to feed last night, and he did eat a tiny bit of brine. This video is right after I dropped the food in this morning. I’ve heard that they can “twitch” when fed or know food is coming, but this seems more of a full body. I’ve also never seen the difference with that or them flashing, so im turning to you guys!
Assuming fresh water dip to be safe, recommendations on time since he’s new? I don’t wanna stress him too bad.
If confirmed, I have prazi on hand should I start prazi treatment right away?
TIA

Fish flick their fins or twitch when particles in the water tough their bodies - probably as a response to potential parasites. If they do that when there are no particles in the water, then that can be a sign of flukes. A copper/prazi quarantine is designed to counter that. Our protocol is posted at the top of the fish disease forum.

Gotcha I’ll keep an eye out. I was planning on following that, Just wasn’t sure if it was safe to wait until after the copper treatment to do the prazi. Thanks Jay !

In general it's best to wait - the one time I would do them together is when its unclear as to the problem - and it wouldn't be prudent to wait 30 days to start prazipro. Good luck with the fish.... I have seen skittish fish act this way in a small QT tank FWIW.
