Just freshwater dipped my sailfin tang for 5 minutes. These three white spots appeared on his tail fin and I saw some white things floating in the water. Flukes?

I can't be certain from that pic. Do you have pics of the white things that came off in the water?

No, I tried but they didn't really show up in a picture. I've since dumped them. I realize the picture isn't great.

Assuming they showed up during the FW dip and then fell off they are likely flukes. Is this a new purchase or was it already in your display?

Agree. Most flukes look like sesame seeds.

It's a new purchase that was in my display for about 10 days then removed to a QT.

Question, if I moved my new tangs to copper with Furan-2, Kanaplex and Metroplex, how long do I leave them in there? I'm on my 4th (and last) dose of Furan-2 and second dose of Kanaplex and Metroplex.

If I hit them with the trifecta on the same day 1 as the copper, can I do a big water change and just observe them for a couple more weeks after the 14 days at 1.75-2.0 copper is over?

If you are only doing 14 days of copper you’ll need to move them to a totally new QT after the treatment to ensure that they can’t be reinfected after the copper is removed.
