So I got this coral today from a guy near me and I was convinced it is a hammer but he says it is a frogspawn and as I look closer at it, it looks like both which has me confused. I can take better pics as well

I just did a search and it appears there are quite a few hammer/frogspawn hybrids. WWC carries them from time to time, as well as a few other vendors.
Well of it is a frammer it just became my centerpiece lol I got 10 heads of this guy for 40$ with 6-8 new heads sprouting

never heard of hybrids interesting. That looks like a plain hammer to me. Watch tidal gardens video on these corals. Than makes some good points about some polyps having multiple heads on hammers like a fragspawn. The only "real" reason to know what it is for sure is on the microscopic level. But I think that's a hammer. Also with those "hybrids" are they really hybrids or just mutant hammer/torches and such that look like frog/torches and stuff Those euphilla commonly look like each other.

A lot of times our hobby comes up with weird names for things, maybe they really are hybrids but my guess is that they are just euphilla that have heads that look like a combo of the three but I could be wrong
