It very well could be. I've come to realize that some of the old corals that were once prevalent in the hobby but seem to have faded away may actually still be alive and well, just under a different name, and different appearance due to generally drastically different lighting than what was the norm 10 years ago.
For instance, about a year ago I acquired a frag of "pearlberry" that once received, looked nothing like the ORA pearlberry that I had a decade ago. It just didn't have that pearlescence that the original had. Fast forward to a couple of months ago and I switched up my lighting to include metal halide like I've used in the past. Now it looks more like the original pearlyberry every day.
I plan to start a thread about it soon comparing what I have now vs. a definitive ORA pearlberry that I had a long time ago (I found an old picture in my photobucket account that I took when I first got the frag, still on the notorious ORA plug). My camera skills weren't all that great back then, unfortunately. But the similarity is definitely worth noting, and I'm starting to believe that the frag that I acquired a year ago is in fact, an ORA pearlberry after all.
