Okok I was reading I can’t just do the multiply x 3.066 and divide by 1000 ?It is not the same thing. If you want to test for Phosphates, you need a different tester.
Yes, that is a good point. I was making a distinction between the two tests. Here is a table that might be helpful so you do not have to do the math.Okok I was reading I can’t just do the multiply x 3.066 and divide by 1000 ?
Okok thank you and I have a reading of 5 comes out to .015 that’s to low ehYes, that is a good point. I was making a distinction between the two tests. Here is a table that might be helpful so you do not have to do the math.
My sps are doing great, I got a Dino out break tho it’s been a week I siphoned them all out started raising the nutrients and did a 3 day black out so far polyps are still outHow are corals doing? My understanding is that phosphate is the residual surplus, coral want phosphorus. with sufficient feeding, .015 surplus indicates adequate available nutrients. @jda and others are more qualified than me to explain this better than me
Ya I posted a picture of the Dino’s got lots of help by a lot of people yesterdayThe pros will likely want to know all parameters, maintenance schedule and see white light pics to help diagnose the problem. Unless you only want to know about the tester that is...
100% BRS done a video on itThe phosphorus checker is actually the one you want. It reads in parts per billion phosphorus. Multiply by 3 and move the decimal to get ppm phosphate.
The first couple responses are wrong
Shoot first was 5 then 2 and last one after 10 min was 3The phosphorus checker is actually the one you want. It reads in parts per billion phosphorus. Multiply by 3 and move the decimal to get ppm phosphate.

Those are, for our purposes, the same.Shoot first was 5 then 2 and last one after 10 min was 3
What you mean I have that how do I do itAs stated...either one is fine. The Apex actually converts it to phosphates for you if you use Apex Fusion.
The phosphorus ppb checker is very accurate…I just wish they were more accurate.
If you go into the log measurement section and select P04 you can select what test kit you are using. Once you enter the phosphorous number in it will automatically convert it to phosphates. What you mean I have that how do I do it
The unit I have will bounce all over the place. Maybe user error. I’ll look into it more and see if I’m just a dunce. The phosphorus ppb checker is very accurate…
